COLOR: THIS SEASON WE FIND A BALANCE OF COLOR PALETTES. MONOCHROMATIC DRESSING IS KEY

• white alone, looks newest done in a melange of new textures
• neutrals look right again, especially the palette of nudes, khakis, and olives
• light to mid-tone greys replace Fall's black and charcoal stories
• blue emerges with a strong return to fashion denim
• pastels appear in soft ice cream shades combined with neutrals

FABRIC: WATCH FOR NEW FINISHES

• fabric is not as embellished or elaborate but is newest textured: washed, crumpled, hammered
• look for shredded cobweb looks, sanded silk, muslin and gauze
• transparent fabrics look right when worn in layers:silk, plisse, georgette, lace, chiffon, organza, and organdy
• shine continues look for new treatments with sequins, paillettes, beads, metallics, and glitz in all colors
